Living in the Kingdom of God

This addition to our blog comes from long-time CFOer Pam Morse

Dear CFO friends,

Lately I have been spending a lot of time thinking about Jesus as my King. Recognizing Jesus as my “Savior” comes with all kinds of benefits. But what does it mean to acknowledge an omnipotent ruler of my life? When I enter the protection of his kingdom and declare my loyalty to him, what does that mean about how I live and the choices I make? Well, for one thing it means I no longer live in a democracy where I get one vote and God gets one vote. Obedience takes on a whole new level of significance. I don’t particularly like this because I, like most of my cultural peers, like to keep my options open. What about you? What part “kingdom living” is challenging for you?
